Once you have found your information, head over to http://sites.google.com. It should look a lot like your drive folder, but empty. Click the create button to get started!
It will ask you to choose a template. Browse for a little but choose one quickly – you can change this later! You can also start with a blank one and add different colors later.
Name your site with your name, state and the year (example: George-Missouri-2015). Every site should be named like this! Choose a theme and give your site a category (use my last name and school year so that students and teachers will easily be able to navigate through your sites in the upcoming years, so all of your sites should say “Ivie 2015”).
Once you have started your site, create pages for each topic you selected. I would recommend each page be a two column layout so you can have an image and paragraph on the page.
That’s a starting point. Play around with the site, try new things, and see what happens!
